The sexually Violent murder of twenty-one-year-old Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy, on the night of November, 1,2007, became an international sensation when on of Kerchers housemates, Amanda Knox, as well as her Italian boyfriend and a troubled local man Knox said she “vaguely” knew was arrested and charged with murder.

I received to review the book “The Fatal Gift of Beauty”: The trial of Amanda Knox by Nina Burleigh, Published by Crown Publishing Group, 352 pages, Publish date August 2011,

Whwn I first started, its was interesting and I did enjoy the beginning, but then the author got into way to much Italian for me. Since I have never been to Italy or studied Italian and even thought I have an Italian name, I really actually just got way to lost and was never able to recover from all the Italy information. Now I am sure that many others may not be like me and may not have as much of a problem I had understanding the Author.I had a problem also with Amanda even thought I do not think she is quilty of murder, I just did not like her. I was also irrated with the title of the book. I do think that Amanda is a attractive girl , but to label her a beauty seemed way to much  for me. I say try this book if you are interested in what happened to Amanda and how she got in the mess she is in now, and if your a fan of Italy and can understand and knowwhat the author is talking  about Italy. I say read this one and judge for yourself. This is my honest opinion.

My Thoughts
The book for me started out abit slow and that is only because in the 1st few chapters there were many characters and it took a little to get them all figured out, but after that the book was awesome. I love love it and all the characters and loved how they all interacted with each other. I really felt like they were my friend by the end of the book and would love to read more about them in another book. hint hint. And even thought I am an animal lover, the decription of the events had to be described that way and it worked out well and even thought it took me almost to the end to figure it out that was great. This was a perfect read for me. This was a great book and do yourself a big favor and read it, you will not be sorry in my opinion. The book was sent to me free from Water Book Press for my Honest Opinion

I LOVE BOOKS

Matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a match . . . dot.com. An on-line dating service is not Michelle Snow’s idea of how to find love but when the Big 3-0 hits, Michelle decides she has nothing to lose since she hasn’t brought a date home in ten years, she’s professionally burned out, and her climb up the corporate ladder has come at the expense of abandoning her sweet dream: to own a boutique cupcakery.

Todd Bracken, early thirties and a successful technology consultant, isn’t exactly a player after being off the market for ten years, and pours himself into his dual passions of martial arts and home-sweet-home renovations. Only there’s no one to come home to so he decides to give Match.com a try. Todd isn’t so sure the Internet dating scene is his thing – until a message pops up in the wee hours on a weekend night: “I like your smile.” Todd likes – a lot – the whole package that glides into a French bistro in Washington, D.C.

It’s serious mojo-at-first-sight but there’s a glitch: Todd and Michelle live in different cities. Will love find its way in the digital age with a You’ve Got Mail courtship when video cam kisses just aren’t enough? And when Todd challenges Michelle to not only go for her dream but also let him share it, will they be able to make it happen together despite obstacles more plentiful than a shower of rainbow sprinkles?

I loved this book…it was alot of fun to read and all the characters were fun and made you want to keep reading,  I loved the two main characters and how they went together so well. I love books that make you wish you could take the characters place. I suggest to give this one a try for yourself so you can see what I mean, you will love it too and will want to read it again just to make sure you got all the juicy info..
