Matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a match . . . An on-line dating service is not Michelle Snow’s idea of how to find love but when the Big 3-0 hits, Michelle decides she has nothing to lose since she hasn’t brought a date home in ten years, she’s professionally burned out, and her climb up the corporate ladder has come at the expense of abandoning her sweet dream: to own a boutique cupcakery.

Todd Bracken, early thirties and a successful technology consultant, isn’t exactly a player after being off the market for ten years, and pours himself into his dual passions of martial arts and home-sweet-home renovations. Only there’s no one to come home to so he decides to give a try. Todd isn’t so sure the Internet dating scene is his thing – until a message pops up in the wee hours on a weekend night: “I like your smile.” Todd likes – a lot – the whole package that glides into a French bistro in Washington, D.C.

It’s serious mojo-at-first-sight but there’s a glitch: Todd and Michelle live in different cities. Will love find its way in the digital age with a You’ve Got Mail courtship when video cam kisses just aren’t enough? And when Todd challenges Michelle to not only go for her dream but also let him share it, will they be able to make it happen together despite obstacles more plentiful than a shower of rainbow sprinkles?

I loved this book…it was alot of fun to read and all the characters were fun and made you want to keep reading,  I loved the two main characters and how they went together so well. I love books that make you wish you could take the characters place. I suggest to give this one a try for yourself so you can see what I mean, you will love it too and will want to read it again just to make sure you got all the juicy info..

Big Boned
(Size Doesn’t Matter)

(The third book in the Heather Wells Mysteries series)
A novel by

Meg Cabot

Life is reasonably rosy for plus-size ex-pop star turned Assistant Dormitory Director and sometime sleuth Heather Wells. Her freeloading ex-con dad is finally moving out. She still yearns for her hot landlord, Cooper Cartwright, but her relationship with “rebound beau,” vigorous vegan math professor Tad Tocco, is more than satisfactory. Best of all, nobody has died lately in “Death Dorm,” the aptly nicknamed student residence that Heather assistant-directs. Of course every silver lining ultimately has some black cloud attached. And when the latest murdered corpse to clutter up her jurisdiction turns out to be her exceedingly unlovable boss, Heather finds herself on the shortlist of prime suspects—along with the rabble-rousing boyfriend of her high-strung student assistant and an indecently handsome young campus minister who’s been accused of taking liberties with certain girls’ choir members.

With fame beckoning her back into show business (as the star of a new kids’ show!) it’s a really bad time to get wrapped up in another homicide. Plus Tad’s been working himself up.

The 3rd book in the series and as great as the other 2. if your looking for a very good series of books to read, please do yourself a favor and read these, they are so good and I am really sad they ended..I cannot say enought about these. take my word and read..

Size 14 Is Not Fat Either

(The second book in the Heather Wells Mysteries series)
A novel by

Meg Cabot

Former pop star Heather Wells has settled nicely into her new life as assistant dorm director at New York College—a career that does not require her to drape her size 12 body in embarrassingly skimpy outfits. She can even cope (sort of) with her rocker ex-boyfriend’s upcoming nuptials, which the press has dubbed The Celebrity Wedding of the Decade. But she’s definitely having a hard time dealing with the situation in the dormitory kitchen—where a cheerleader has lost her head on the first day of the semester. (Actually, her head is accounted for—it’s her torso that’s AWOL.)

Surrounded by hysterical students—with her ex-con father on her doorstep and her ex-love bombarding her with unwanted phone calls—Heather welcomes the opportunity to play detective . . . again. If it gets her mind off her personal problems—and teams her up again with the gorgeous P.I. who owns the brownstone where she lives—it’s all good. But the murder trail is leading the average-sized amateur investigator into a shadowy world. And if she doesn’t watch her step, Heather will soon be singing her swan song!

This book is just as fun and enjoyable as the 1st in the can not go wrong by reading this is awesome and one you will nt want to stop reading. you actually feel like all of  the characters are your friends. I love this series. and I am so excited about the 3rd book Big Boned..I wish thay never end.
“Um, hello. Is anyone out there?” The girl in the dressing room next to mine has a voice like a chipmunk. “Hello?”

Exactlylike a chipmunk.

I hear a sales clerk come over, his key chain clinking musically. “Yes, ma’am? Can I help you?”

“Yeah.” The girl’s disembodied—but still chipmunklike—voice floats over the partition between our

cubicles. “Do you guys have these jeans in anything smaller than a size zero?”

I pause, one leg in and one leg out of the jeans I am squeezing myself into. Whoa. Is it just me, or was

that really existential? Because what’s smaller than a size zero? Negative something, right?

Okay, so it’s been a while since sixth grade math. But I do remember there was this number line, with a

zero in the middle, and—

“Because,” Less Than Zero/Chipmunk Voice is explaining to the sales clerk, “normally I’m a size two.

But these zeros are completely baggy on me. Which is weird. I know I didn’t lose weight since the last

time I came in here.”

Less Than Zero has a point, I realize as I pull up the jeans I’m trying on. I can’t remember the last time I

could fit into a size 8. Well, okay, Ican . But it’s not a period from my past that I particularly relish.

What gives? Normally I wear 12s…but I tried on the 12s, and I was swimming in them. Same with the

10s. Which is weird, because I haven’t exactly been on any kind of diet lately—unless you count the

Splenda I had in my latte at breakfast this morning.

This had to be one of the best books I have read in ages. I absouetely loved it and could hardly get anything else done. It is laugh out loud funny and I even had to read some of it the my hubby. Be sure you don’t care if people look at you funny while you are reading because it just happens, oh it, you will not be disappointed that you did, you will actually thank me and Meg Cabot for writing it.
